Today I woke up with my usual stuffy nose and congestion that I have been having for the past three weeks. I thought nothing of it and decided to go on into work. Once I got to work my stomach started cramping and that stuffy head feeling got worse. Work sent me home. I decided to call the doctor and see what is going on. If it were allergies, it would have subsided by now. My doctor fortunately had an opening soon and I headed on in. I dreaded waiting. Even though they say your appointment is at a certain time, be prepared to wait. And wait. Wait. Keep waiting. Almost...psych! Wait. Yup, that is usually how it goes. I was prepared to wait though. I had a fully charged blackberry, comfy shoes, and a nice sweater I could take off if need be and use as a pillow. As I was just sitting down from checking in a lady around my age comes in like a tornado. She is loud and happy. Too happy for the doctor's office. I tried not to eavesdrop, although it was hard because she was so loud. I got bits and pieces. "Excited...Pregnancy Test...Hopefully." I was just starting to get into this magazine article when she comes and sits down across from me. I happened to look up at her. Wrong move. She started talking as if I were her best friend. "I am so excited! I took three pregnancy tests and they all came back positive. I wanted to come in to really make sure you know?" I started to reply but got cut off again "I mean, I don't want to get my hopes up, you know?" There was a long enough pause for me to wish her the best of luck and then she was whisked to the back for blood work. As I was still waiting it got me thinking about my struggles with trying to conceive and how it always seems like everyone you know is pregnant or you hear more about pregnancies when you are trying yourself. I guess you notice it more because its on your mind the majority of the time. I digress, I went on in shortly after to see the doc and found out I have a secondary sinus infection. The doc gave me Codeine and some Antibiotics. So, I decided to give myself another 24 hours before I go back to work. I don't want to get my co-workers sick or the little ones.
After I got my meds I went straight to Walgreens. While I was waiting for my meds to get ready, I decided to buy this shampoo I had been wanting to try. It is by Nexxus. It is called Pro Mend for split ends. I got the shampoo, conditioner, and night time leave in treatment. So, I will let you guys know how my hair does. I may even post a picture if it is fabulous, if not then nevermind, I won't post a picture.
So when I got home and got my meds in me I decided to make Brunswick Stew for tomorrow night. I have to say, the thing I hate to see, touch, cook is raw chicken. It is so gross to me. Blech. I weathered through though and I think this Brunswick Stew is going to be good. It still has an hour left to cook, but it looks delicious already!
So, that is what I have been up to today. Not a whole lot, but I wasn't feeling the perkiest either. I have a busy rest of the week! Thursday I am going to see my OB/GYN for a Fertility Consultation and am praying that goes well and that I can get some good news and advice and then Friday is my birthday! So, I have a lot of rest to catch up on. Until next time! xoxo
